is just for girls and women.

A CRAZY TRIP TO NEW YORK by Sophie

Last summer my family and I went to New York. We went to the airport by car and started our journey early in the morning but the weather was very bad and foggy. On the way my sister noticed she has forgotten her passport. My father turned around the car and we got the passport. We were very late for the flight. But we arrived on time. So we flew to New York City. When we arrived we took a taxi to the Plaza hotel but first of all they didn’t have any rooms for us. So we had to pay a lot of money for the bedrooms. The rooms were very beautiful and big. There was a big flat TV in every room and a playstation. We visited a lot of sights: The Empire state building, The Broadway and the Central park. On the last night we went on a One Direction concert. It was very cool. After seven days we flew back to Vienna. It was one of my best holidays ever.

"A letter from the Maldives" by Martin

Dear brother Thomas,

I’m writing to you from the Maldives. Getting there was quite a journey. First I nearly passed the plane because I sat too long on the toilet at home. I also had to take the bus because I had forgotten to fill up the tank of my car with fuel.  Finally I arrived successfully the airport. I was so glad to sit in the plane. I really wanted to visit Maldives once!! Then I changed into a special plane. To a propeller-driven  airplane. But the engine was damaged. So we had to make an emergency landing on water. We all were scared but the pilot wasn’t really nervous. So we had to swim from the plane to the island. At least I arrived at the island healthy. I have a nice week here. I put some nice photos into that letter so you can see the wonderful Island.

"A really crazy trip to New York" by Thomas

One day we drove to the airport in Graz, because we wanted to go on a holiday by plane. On halfway my brother suddenly remarked that he had forgotten his passport in his room.

So my father turned around the car and half an hour later we got the passport. Now we were very late, my father said. We were very surprised that we could catch our flight on time. Suddenly there was an explosion in one of the turbines of the plane. We lost altitude and crashed on the ground. Miraculously we survived and woke up in a hospital in NEW YORK. We all had concussions, but all in all we were OK. We got our suitcases back from the airport and at the end we all had a good holiday.

"A crazy trip to Berlin" by Lena

The story happened in the summer holidays last year. My Friends and I stayed in Berlin for four days. The holiday was nice but the trip was horrible. We started our journey at lunch time. We drove by bus to the airport. The weather was so bad. It rained all the time. After one hour the bus drove in a ditch and we had to wait for another bus. When we arrived at the airport we hurried to our plane, but the plane couldn’t start, because the weather was too bad. Two hours later we could start our trip. At halfway we had to land in another city, because the plane could not continue the flight. There was a hurricane.  After a short time we were back in the plane again and soon we arrived in Berlin. We took a taxi to our hotel. Our rooms were very small but nice and clean. We went to bed and at the next days we visited the Brandenburger gate, the Berliner Dom, and other famous sights. After four days we flew back to Vienna. It was one of my best holidays!

"A crazy cruise to Rome" by Ben

The story began on a Saturday morning. I was taking the post out of my post box, when I found a big headline on a travelling leaflet” Steamship travel to Rome, luxury-room first class, all inclusive - only 50 Pounds!” I was really excited. I wanted to travel to Rome years before, but I had never had enough money for this long journey. But only 50 pounds – good news – we can go. I was calling the travel agency and took one of the best rooms on the ship! Then I packed my suitcase and drove to the harbour where the ship was waiting for me. On the timetable I read that the ship would arrive in five minutes. It was 13:45 p.m. But I didn’t see the ship. It was 15:30 p.m. when the ship was coming. The steamship doesn’t look like a luxury-ship. It looked really run –down, but I didn’t bother about it . “Maybe it is only the exterior view”, I thought. When I went into the ship, I was shocked. The walls were made of rusty steel, the floor was dirty and for one second I saw how a rat ran from one hole into another hole. The personal brought me to my “luxury” room. In the “luxury” room was only an old bed, a little wooden bench and a little wardrobe. I wanted to go back off the ship, but the doors were closed and the ship was casting off. So I had to stay on the ship. The cruise was awful, cold and uncomfortable. And when the ship arrived in Rome, I found out, that the ship just got to Rome - but not back home. So I had to find another ship to get back home. After a while I found another ship back home. It was more expensive but it was okay for me and I felt wonderful and didn’t want to go on holiday by ship again. 

"A wild journey to the USA" by Tobias

Last year my family and I were on holiday in the USA. It was a great week but the journey to the states was terrible. In the morning we got up at 5 a.m. to packed my bags. Then we drove to the airport in Vienna. On the highway two cars in front of us crashed into each other. My dad was shocked but fortunately he’s a good driver and he saved our lives. Than at the airport my sister noticed that she had forgotten her passport in the car! We all ran to the car because we were very late. Than later we were sitting in our plane and had some coffee. During the flight suddenly a bird crashed into the wing and we lost hight. But the pilot didn’t lost the control and he brought us safely to the ground. Finally we landed in the USA. That was the craziest trip of my life.

"A CRAZY TRIP TO SAN FRANCISCO" by Julia

Three years ago my family and I spent some days in San Francisco. We got up early in the morning and got into our car. My mum was so nervous because she always thought we had forgotten something at home. During the drive she noticed that she had forgotten to turn off the lamp in the kitchen. There was plenty of time so my dad drove back home and turned it off.  But on the way back we got into a traffic jam…

One and a half hour later we arrived at the airport in Vienna.  My parents were very angry, because we´ve missed our plane to San Francisco.

After all we took the next plane an hour later. We were all relaxed the first part of the flight. My sister was sleeping and I was listening to music. Suddenly she woke up. There was a loud noise outside. We looked out of the window. A swarm of little birds had flown into the left engine. The pilot made an emergency landing on a small island.

We and the other passengers went to an old dock. A man showed us our ship to San Francisco. The ship was a very, very old and dirty.  On the way to San Francisco my mum felt seasick. After hours we all reached the hotel alive and well. We were glad that the hotel was lovely. Our rooms were wonderful and clean. In the garden were two big swimming pools.  The rest of our holiday was wonderful, too.

But getting there was an awesome and funny journey!!

"An exciting trip to Paris" by Anna

It happened in my summer holidays last year. My parents, my sister and I stayed for one week in Paris.

In the morning I woke up, looked at the clock and noticed that it was very late. Our flight was just in one hour. My parents and my sister were still sleeping and I woke them up. We hurried and my father drove to the airport very fast. When we arrived we checked in and the bus brought us to the airplane. Fortunately my family and I didn’t miss the flight. Finally we were sitting in the airplane and then the pilot said that we couldn’t fly because there was a problem with the airplane. So we had to wait. After some time it was repaired and we could fly. We landed safety at the airport Charles de Gaulle in Paris. Then we took a bus to our hotel, but I noticed that my family and I were sitting in the wrong bus. So we had to walk the rest of the way to our hotel. When we saw our rooms we were disappointed because they were small, dirty and there were just three beds. Luckily on the same day a family went home and we got their two rooms. My mother was surprised because these rooms were clean, big and my sister and I had our own room with two beds, our own bathroom and our own TV. In the afternoon we went to a restaurant and ate onion soup and baguettes. One night I woke up because I heard a noise. I looked around but I saw nothing, so I fell asleep. In the morning my sister was missing her watch and her handy. I realized that someone had broken in and had stolen the things.

My sister was very sad, but her birthday was on the next day and so we presented her a new handy. We also made a trip with her and visited the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Disneyland.

I enjoyed the holidays with my family in Paris and it was very funny and exciting.

"My riding week" by Christina

I spent a week on a riding camp here in Güssing with my cousin Stella. There were lots of girls, all of them quite good riders. Then Dana, the owner of the horseback, showed me my horse, called Luxus. He is a large red-brown stallion and very nice to ride. During the week we had to learn for the horseman pass. We had to learn everything about the history of the horse, its behaviour, the physique of the horse, etc. The most difficult part of the test was the jump in the terrain. And than at the last day something terrible happened!

 

Early in the morning we were saddling up the horses and walked them warm in the hall for 10 minutes. After that we began our jumping training on the course. My girlfriend Funny started with her horse Korsika. Everything seemed to be alright, but suddenly she slipped out of the stirrups, turned over in the air and landed on the hard ground. We were all very shocked and Dana immediately called the ambulance. In the meantime I tried to catch the horse and brought it back to the box. Luckily Funny had only a few bruises and we all were very surprised, because on the next day she was back on her horse again. Despite this little incident it was a great week and I would love to do it again next summer!

Writing own texts about "crazy trips" - A very good work of Laura - WELL DONE!

The story happened in the winter holidays last year. My family and I stayed in Paris for seven days. On the third day we would go on a really good concert. The city was wonderful but the trip was horrible. We started our journey early in the morning. It was raining so the car ride was really bad. On the way to the airport in Vienna my mother noticed that we forgotten the concert tickets on the kitchen table. My father turned back home and we got the tickets. Now we were very late. My father drove very fast and so the police stopped us. My mum was very angry. So she paid the penalty and we got to the airport very late. We had to run to our departure gate. At least we were sitting in our plane and had a cup of hot chocolate. Suddenly there was an explosion. We lost height of fall because the plane hit a bird. The pilot saved our life and we landed safety in Paris. We took a taxi to our hotel. The hotel was in the center of Paris. It was very wonderful. The rooms were large and clean. In every room were a TV and a balcony. In the afternoon we went to the nearest restaurant and had dinner there. After that we visited the famous Eiffel tower. It was fantastic to saw it in real. From there we had a wonderful view of the city. The next day we walked around in the city. And then we go to the concert of Pink. It was very cool. Pink made a good show and the songs were very wonderful.

After seven days we flew back to Vienna – it was the best holiday!
